Exodus 23:9

"Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt."

Leviticus 19:33-34

  • And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land,
    • ye shall not vex him.
  • But the stranger that dwelleth with you
    • shall be unto you as one born among you,
    • and thou shalt clove him as thyself;

Leviticus 25:6

  • And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you;
    • for thee,
    • and for thy servant,
    • and for thy maid,
    • and for thy hired servant,
    • and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee

Deuteronomy 1:16

Judge a stranger as fairly as your own

  • Hear the causes
    • between your brethren
  • and judge righteously
    • between every man and his brother
    • and the stranger that is with him.

Deuteronomy 5:14

Let your day of rest extend to any of those who work for you,

  • But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God:
  • in it thou shalt not do any work,
    • thou,
    • nor thy son,
    • nor thy daughter,
    • nor thy manservant,
    • nor thy maidservant,
    • nor thine ox,

Deuteronomy 10:18-19

"He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment. Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt."

Deuteronomy 16:14

Do not exclude strangers from your feasts, "And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates."

Deuteronomy 23:7

  • Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite;
    • for he is thy brother:
  • thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian;
    • because thou wast a stranger in his land.

Deuteronomy 24:14

"Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates"

Deuteronomy 26:11

"And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you."

Deuteronomy 26:13

A time of reckoning comes, when we present before the Lord what we have done with our resources. See also the parable of the talents.

Jeremiah 22:3

"Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place."

Ezekiel 44:23

"And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel. And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord God."

Zechariah 7:10

"oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor"
