Pekah, king of Israel

  • Attacks Judah with Syria (Rezin) (Isaiah 7:1)
  • He was a captain in the army, and with fifty men in his command, staged a coup, assassinated the king, and took the throne (He was already treacherous to start with, even before wanting to turn against Judah). 2 Kings 15:25
  • He was, in turn, conspired against internally, and killed by Hoshea
