There are three ways that the devil tempts men:

• Physical desires, appetites, wants, things of the flesh (Matthew 4:2-4)
• Vanity and pride, recognition by men (Matthew 4:5-7)
• Riches and gold, prosperity, wealth, worldly inheritances (Matthew 4:8-9)
