1. BEHOLD my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

• He (Christ) is very humble with his preaching, he is not making a scene or trying to bring people to him by popularity (there is no beauty that we should desire him). In the Gospels, he would tell people who had miracles performed to not tell the people abroad. He didn't want to be known simply by miracles, but instead of how he can help people and the message he has. After the miracle of breaking bread, some people came to him just because they were hungry and wanted food.

3. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

• He will be really gentle to those who are broken or sensitive. He won't crush them, but will restore them.
• Since the flax is smoking, that means it's going out.

4. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

• He will not fail. He will not be discouraged (give up).

6. I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

• The Lord will prepare you, guide you, and make you an instrument. You have to be righteous to be called.

7. To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

• Your mission is to teach the gospel, and do temple work.
