- Genesis 11:7-8 - Abraham builds an altar
- Genesis 13:4 - Abraham calls upon the Lord at an altar
- Genesis 14:18 - Melchezidek administers bread and wine
- Genesis 14:19-20 - Melchezidek blesses Abraham
- Genesis 14:20 - Abraham pays his tithing to Melchezidek
- Genesis 32:1-2 - Jacob creates a memorial marker, gives it a name
- Genesis 33:20 - Jacob builds an altar
- Genesis 35:7 - Jacob builds an altar and the Lord appears to him
- Genesis 35:14 - Jacob builds a memorial, performs a drink offering
- Genesis 48:8-49:33 - Jacob blesses his posterity before his death
- Exodus 17:8-12 - Moses holds up his hands while a battle is going on to ensure success
- 1 Samuel 7:6 - they "drew water, and poured it out before the Lord," they fasted, and Samuel "judged the children of Israel"
- 1 Samuel 7:12 - Samuel made a memorial: "Samuel took a stone .. and called the name of it Eben-ezer"
- 1 Samuel 12:16-18 - Samuel sends thunder and rain
- 1 Samuel 15:32-33 - Samuel slays Agag, the king of the Amalekites, "before the Lord"
- 1 Samuel 17:45-47 - David slays Goliath "in the name of the Lord"
- 2 Samuel 4:9-12 - David passes judgement and has unrighteous people executed
- 2 Samuel 6:17 - The ark of the covenant is placed inside the tabernacle
- 2 Samuel 6:18 - David blesses the congregation
- 2 Samuel 6:20 - David blesses his household
