Penuel (Peniel)

Located in Eastern Israel, directly east of the Jordan River.

Jacob wrestled all night with an angel and was given the name of Israel (Genesis 32:22-32)
Town there destroyed by Gideon (Judges 8:8-9, 17)
Rebuilt by Jeroboam (1 Kings 12:25)
