  * He makes a note of the three different people / cultures living in the city, and specifically names an Amalekite as being the first one to challenge him.  I wonder if the distinctions had much more meaning to them.  Compare it to our nationalities today (German, Arab, etc.)

** Alma 22:12 **

  * We see the direct effects of sin -- falling

** Alma 22:13 **

  * Another analogy, think of fallen as in fell on the floor (or in a ditch) and you can't get out by yourself -- you need someone else's help to get up.
