** 2 Nephi 18:6-8 **

  * The Lord is using a comparison and analogy using water.  Judah did not prefer the calm quietness of "the waters of [[Shiloh]]," so He sends them "the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of [[Assyria]]," in all his evil glory.  These verses to the Jews could not be more clear -- Assyria will completely destroy and inhabit their kingdom.
